"the family of man" and one kiss that I've loved.

“… and then i asked him with my eyes to ask again yes
And then he asked me would I yes…
And first I put my arms around him yes
And drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes
And his heart was going like mad
And yes I said yes I will yes.”

James Joyce

That’s the quote that begins the photobook “the family of man”. And I never could understand what did that means. My godmother give us that book in December 2000. And I just loved it. I was eight years old, and I love to imagine the histories behind the pictures. The picture that I choose is from the “love part”, but the book also has some really hardcore pictures. Is like a complete view to the humanity, from the shots of lots of greats photographers.
The one that I pick was taken by Robert Doisneau, a frech fotographer. He used to walk around the streets of Paris with his leika. Like he said:
“The marvels of daily life are so exciting; no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street."
I don’t know exactly when was this picture taken, is around the 30’s I think.. He took lots of kisses photos ( you could google him and you’ll see). But I love this one. I always love to see it like if it was the first time, and I used to saw the kid first, then the lady, and then I tried to find what she was looking. And there’s the kiss. And, maybe now I will say tons of corny thing, but I love the way that they are like hidden, apart from the rest, like a not important part of the picture. But, they are the picture. And maybe that’s why this it my favorite kiss since eleven years.

Free time

I can’t speak about only a free time (almost all my blog post start in the same way). Because I have a lots of ways to feel that im enjoying a sparte time. Now, because I’m to tired to think about sometiçhing better, I’m going to make a kind of list, with a “definition”.
The real spare time: that’s when I am on holidays, and I don’t have anything (and when I say anything I’m really meaning it). In that case, I used to sleep like 25 hours every day, or just to be in my bed thinking about everything, and it’s boring, because It’s an excess of free time, and I get tired because I don’t do nothing at all. That one is the “ February free time”, when I’ve just arrived to Santiago, and the city is empty.
“I’m just finished the school/university “ kind of free time: During the year, I think all the time about what I’m going to do when I go out from vacations. In that time, I supouse to read a lot of books (just because I want to!) watch movies, go to the cinema, meet with some friends, go out on the city, or just sleep. But is the best moment ever, when I feel that I have time, and how to enjoy it.
The “guilty” spare time: that happened to me every week, when I want to watch series (especially glee, gossip girl and how I met your mother). In that occasions, I have the computer on my bed, and the things that I have to read hidden under my bed.

everithing on my ipod.

I do not use to like a lot technology. I mean, I am not the kind of person who is always looking for the newest gadget or something like that. My notebook and my cellphone are bought really old, also my photo camera. I hate the touch technology, and I can't imagine my life always connected (like the people who are always on facebook in the mobile phone, trying to get WI FI everywhere.

But, apart from that, I have something to be grateful of with all this modern things: iPod, a line of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple and launched on October 23, 2001. There’s a lot of different ipod, in many sizes, colors and models. They could have loads of space (like 120 GB) or less, like mine. My iPod (and the best in the world) is a purple one, with 8GB nano model. It has a video camera, voice recorder, games, etc. But, the most important, in my iPod is the music I have.I am a happy girl with it. I have two computers, and there’s my music on iTunes (an iPod’s program). I have like 60 GB. If I mix the music of both computers, and is really hard for me to choose my favorite music. But I have to, the I just choose some artist (my really favorites in the moment) and for the rest, I used the random option.

In my iPod you could find since Britney or garras de amor, to some Chopin’s songs. And if I’m not in a special mood, I love to hear all that it's mixed randomly.

Play me a song to set me free. (kinda emo, i know...)

The thing i love most in the world is music. Is really hard for me choose my favorite band, is even harder to know what kind of music I prefer. That depends of the day, the weather, and my mood. In this moment – I mean, if I had my ipod, I would love to be listening to it right now- my favorite band is Belle and Sebastian, and indie pop band created by Stuart Murdoch in Scotland in 1996.
They are called in that way because the members of the band love a French history for children about a boy called Sebastian, and his dog Belle.
I love them because they made amazing songs, and also (and almost the most important in music for me)it's because they have really beautiful lyrics. I love some sentences on their songs, like that one Zoey Deschanel Said in 500 days of Summer “colour my life with the chaos of trouble” . That Quote belongs to the song The boy with the arab strap, that song is also the title of one of the most successful CD’s of the band.
I think that get me away from here, im dying is a great song, full of wonderful beats, and makes me feel that the phrase “play me a song to set me free” could be real.
Belle and Sebastian is maybe a little corny, but in the good way. Corny like kiss someone under the rain, or crying watching a romantic movie with a big cup of hot chocolate.

Clarín.

The last summer, in Argentina, i discovered my favourite journal, called clarín.
Is the principal newspaper in that country, and exist since 1945. I love it because reading it is an amazing way to be aware with what is going on in the world, they told us the news with a lot of analyze, is not only “the fact”. They treat the context carefully.
For example, with the Mubarak’s problem in Egypt, they did a great job. They give us a lot of visions, with opinions from a lot of people specialized in the Arabian problem, also people from that country who participated in the manifestations, against the regimen, etc.
I love the way that I could read the paper. Is not like “el mercurio”- I hate the format of that journal- and it is funny too, because they talk about a lot of topics, like science, sports, and of course, politic and international.
They also have amazing journalist, because they are brave and commitment with the profession, and the other day, protesting against a kind of censorship, the published the cover totally empty, with only the title in there.
Although this newspaper is from Argentina, is known and soled around the world

Movies and relationships.

Is hard to decide which are my favourite movies. But I know what I like to find, or what are my favourite themes in movies are relationships, but not only in the “ a boy meet a girl” . I love to find humanity, and in my opinion, this four movies are full of it.

The first one is Rumble fish, directed by Coppola. This movie is about a little family, a father, and his sons, and how the build a life, or try to do that. “moto boy” , the older brother is the perfect “anti-hero”.

Before the sunrise shows a history of love, but a weird kind of love, because are two guys who are traveling, and when they meet, they get crazy about each other. In that case, I think that’s love. But they only can be together for 24 hours. Lucky me, this movie has a second part.

high fidelity is about a young man, who works in a Music's store. He lives listening music all the time, earing the love songs, or the saddest songs ever. When the movie starts, he blame the music about how hard is built a life trying to copy the pop music, like the ideal of relationships, but for him the love is a really hard thing.

The last one is todo sobre mi madre, directed by almodovar. The relationships here are the most complicated ever. They talk about a mother who lost her son, about a noun who gets pregnant by a transexual, and how those people live theire lifes, loving and suporting each other anyway.
